Activity Director – Assisted Living Community

Do you have a passion for creating joyful, meaningful experiences for seniors?

Our Assisted Living community is seeking a dynamic and creative  Activity "Celebrations" Director to lead our Life Enrichment program.

About the Role:

The Activity Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engaging programs and activities that enrich the lives of our residents. From daily fitness and arts, to special events, outings, and intergenerational programs, you’ll bring energy and purpose to our community.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and implement a monthly calendar of activities that meet physical, cognitive, social, spiritual, and emotional needs of residents.
  • Lead and participate in group activities, outings, and community events.
  • Build strong relationships with residents and families to understand their interests and preferences.
  • Outreach to schools, universities, and other key institutions to recruit entertain volunteers and for outings 
  • Supervise and mentor activity assistants, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Ensure all programs meet state regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Foster an inclusive, fun, and positive atmosphere where residents feel valued and engaged.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in senior living, recreation, hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt programs to meet diverse resident needs.
  • High energy, compassionate, and resident-focused mindset.
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • A valid driver’s license (for outings and resident transportation).
