Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Power and Performance Engineer to help build and improve high-performance C++ functional models for AMD SoCs. In this role, you’ll support workload debugging, testing, and performance analysis by working closely with both internal teams and external partners. This position is ideal for someone with strong system-level software experience, a solid understanding of computer architecture, and hands-on experience in Linux or Windows environments, virtualization, and simulation tools.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance C++ functional models for AMD SoCs and platforms
• Partner with internal teams and external customers to debug issues by running real workloads on the models
• Create and execute test plans to validate model functionality and accuracy
• Enhance the stability, performance, and overall capabilities of existing models
• Build new and innovative modeling features to improve workload debugging and analysis
• Work closely with architecture teams to understand and support new designs

Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience developing high-performance system and application software in C/C++ for Linux and/or Windows
• Solid understanding of system architecture and low-level system software development
• Experience with x86, ARM, or GPU architectures, including drivers and applications
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows kernel debugging
• Background in functional modeling, architecture simulation, or hypervisor development
• Familiarity with tools such as QEMU, VirtualBox, or Simics

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
