Job Title: Residential Waste Collection Helper
Department: Operations
Reports To: Route Supervisor or Driver

Job Summary:
The Residential Sanitation Helper assists in the collection and disposal of residential waste and recycling materials. This physically demanding role includes loading household trash, yard waste, and recyclables into a collection truck. Helpers work closely with drivers to ensure safe, timely, and complete service along designated routes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and load trash, yard waste, and recyclables from curbside into the garbage truck.
• Ensure all materials are picked up safely and efficiently according to the route schedule.
• Clean up any loose debris around containers to maintain a clean service area.
• Communicate clearly with the driver and team to coordinate safe vehicle movement and collection.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents when necessary.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and routine cleanup of truck at the start and end of the day.
• Follow all company safety procedures, traffic rules, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Prior experience in waste collection or outdoor labor is a plus, but not required.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, early morning start times. Occasional weekend or holiday work may be required depending on the route schedule.

Pay: $150.00 to $175.00 per day

Work Environment:
Outdoor work with frequent exposure to traffic, weather, unpleasant odors, and noisy environments.
