Job Title: Physician Assistant – Orthopedics
Location: Edison, NJ
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join a fast-paced orthopedic practice. The PA will independently evaluate and treat acute musculoskeletal injuries, perform in-office procedures, and manage diagnostic testing while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations and treatments for patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays.
Perform procedures such as joint injections, splinting, casting, minor wound care, and DME fitting.
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and injury prevention.
Document all clinical encounters thoroughly in the EMR.
Adhere to medical regulations, safety standards, and HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with physicians and team members across various specialties.
Establish a trusting, compassionate patient experience.
Other duties as assigned.
Support & Training
Initial shadowing with a physician.
Transition to managing an independent patient schedule.
Supported by one medical assistant and one X-ray technician.
Qualifications
Must Have:
Active New Jersey Physician Assistant License.
Bachelor’s degree.
3–5 years of orthopedic experience as a PA.
Nice to Have:
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-education skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule
8:00am–4:00pm
Some days may require early arrival or staying later as needed.
