Medical Assistant – Spine / Podiatry Focus

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Assistant to support a podiatrist who works in the Sugar Hill area of Atlanta.

This role requires a strong background in spine care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to different clinic settings each week.

Schedule & Locations:

• You will primarily work in the Buford area of Atlanta.
• The physician you will be assigned to does float to a location south of the city. When that happens, you can work remotely or from the office you work at.

Responsibilities:

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering excellent patient care by supporting both clinical and administrative functions, including:

• Greeting patients, gathering medical histories, and assisting with intake/registration.
• Accurately recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations).
• Preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, and performing basic wound care.
• Administering medications and injections as prescribed.
• Maintaining accurate electronic health records (Athena experience strongly preferred).
• Collecting specimens and performing basic lab tests.
• Educating patients on medications, treatments, and post-procedure care.
• Managing inventory, ensuring medical supplies and equipment are well-stocked.
