Our client, an UHNW family, is seeking a Live-In Houseman/Chef in Port Washington, NY. The Houseman/Chef is an integral position within this household, combining both property care and culinary responsibilities. This role requires a highly professional, service-oriented individual who can balance light maintenance, and daily cooking duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily miscellaneous household maintenance as requested.
• Clean and maintain exterior areas, including furniture, pool, gazebos, windows, and outdoor dining spaces.
• Light yardwork - the family has a formal landscaping company.
• Drive Principals places as requested. Doctors appointments, etc.
• Prepare health-conscious meals for the family, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
• Ideally develop weekly menus in consultation with the Principals, reflecting both family preferences and dietary considerations.
• Shop for groceries and specialty items, maintaining a well-organized kitchen and pantry.
• Ensure food storage and kitchen hygiene standards meet the highest level of safety and cleanliness.
• Support entertaining needs, from family meals to more formal gatherings. (They only do formal gatherings 2-3 times per year).
• Provide hospitality and guest care when applicable.
• Run errands as necessary, including food shopping and specialty orders.
• Support household inventory.
• Assist with special events and social functions, coordinating with outsourced staff, setup, service, and breakdown.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by the Principals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highly motivated, professional, discreet, and service-oriented with exceptional integrity.
• Positive and adaptable, able to balance multiple responsibilities.
• Prior experience cooking in UHNW households or private residences.
• Proven background in property care, or hospitality.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S., with valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Prior estate or private household experience is required.
• Tech-savvy: proficient with email, iPhone communications.
