With offices based in London , New York and Los Angeles , Somerset White (SW) offers lifestyle management services to fewer than two hundred clients worldwide. Established in 2000, we aim to provide a personal service that is proactive and offers extraordinary attention to detail.

Somerset White (a lifestyle management company), is looking for a new members to join their team in NYC. You will be helping our clients with their requests, ranging from the day to day , to travel , events , domestic staff recruitment , research etc. Under 200 families, all UHNW .

We are looking for a Lifestyle Assistants . Candidates would ideally have some experience in a similar role with experience in high-end travel organization, events, and/ or lifestyle. Successful candidates will be motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and have an above-and-beyond attitude. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Role

To help support the client team in providing well executed and timely responses to client requests both in and out of the office. In addition to this, the Lifestyle Assistants will be required to assist with general office duties and administration.

A typical day varies hugely but work may include:

• Liaising with UHNW clients
• Carrying out errands such as shopping, purchasing gifts, delivering flowers, supervising contractors etc.
• Researching all manner of topics/suppliers for clients
• Paying invoices, and client’s household staff
• Sourcing tickets for sold out events
• Making restaurant reservations, and booking appointments for clients
• Putting together present suggestions (and wrapping gifts) to suit a particular budget and client
• Travel research, bookings and itineraries
• Event planning
• Liaising with tradesmen
• Contributing to our quarterly cultural What’s On document (theatre, art, music etc.)
• Assisting with general office duties such as answering phones, delivering post, ordering stationery and maintaining the tidiness of the office as a whole.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in travel / hotels / events / PA roles is a plus but not required
• A Bachelor’s Degree
• if knowledge of and an interest in LA; culture, restaurants, hotels etc.
• An extremely proactive and positive manner

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00am - 6:00pm with flexibility to work weekends every 4-6 weeks.

Salary & Benefits

• $55,000 to $63,000 based on experience
• Up to 15% bonus based on performance, paid in January
• Employees receive 10 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) and 5 Sick Days annually. In addition, team members earn 1 extra PTO day for each year of service , up to a maximum of 5 additional days .
• WFH 1 day per week
