SCOPE - INFRASTRUCTURE/SYSTEMS ENGINEER

The Systems/Network Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves analyzing network and system performance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring security compliance, and supporting the integration of new technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability. The analyst collaborates with internal teams and vendors to maintain a stable and secure computing environment, including overseeing the organization's security camera system and VoIP phone system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - INFRASTRUCTURE/SYSTEMS ENGINEER

• Network switching including but not limited to trunking, VLAN's, Spanning Tree Protocol, stacking, fiber interconnects, subnetting.
• Troubleshooting network issues
• Understanding and configuration of Palo Alto FW and Aruba including troubleshooting utilizing the dashboard to analyze what is happening and troubleshoot accurately.
• Understand, support and implement virtualization technologies: VMware
• Understand, support and Implement Microsoft server technologies and correlated service technologies, SMTP, IIS, File and storage, DHCP, DNS, AD, Group Policy.
• Standard security technologies such as multi-factor authentication, endpoint encryption, spam filtering.
• Remote access deployments: VPN, Terminal Services, WVD, VDI.
• Administering and implementing various Wired and Wireless Networking solutions.
• Advanced understanding of Network Security Policies, Monitoring Tools and Network troubleshooting, both remote and onsite
• Oversee Mid-sized IP Based Camera System
• Administer VOIP Phone System
• Basic Windows Server and Network maintenance
• Installation and troubleshooting of various IT solutions.

SUCCESS CRITERIA - INFRASTRUCTURE/SYSTEMS ENGINEER

• Safety/GMP/Food Safety/Quality policies followed.
• BRC Compliance
• Reporting accuracy met.
• Customer requirements met.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - INFRASTRUCTURE/SYSTEMS ENGINEER

• Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve.
• 3 or more years of experience in IT, with a balance of infrastructure and application systems experience.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of technical systems, networks, infrastructure, and security.
• Experience with server virtualization technology (ex. VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Working knowledge in application systems support in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing VOIP phone system
• Experience managing and administration of medium sized IP based camera system
• Must have a communicative, collaborative, transparent, and trusted approach to working with his/her staff, colleagues, upper management, and outside partners.
• Experience working with outside technical service providers.
• Proven ability to guide others, providing training, coaching, and development paths for team members.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware.
• Knowledge of current technology architecture protocols and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• This position is an onsite position.
