Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and expand a growing Mission Critical & Data Center construction division . This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving business growth, delivering successful projects, and building a high-performing team that sets the standard for operational excellence in the sector.

About the Role:

As Director of Operations, you will oversee all aspects of mission critical project execution—including client satisfaction, project delivery, and profitability. You will collaborate with executive leadership to shape long-term strategy, cultivate executive-level client relationships, and guide cross-functional teams in securing and delivering complex, high-value opportunities. The role requires a forward-thinking leader who thrives on driving performance, mentoring talent, and building a best-in-class operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project execution efforts, ensuring timely, high-quality, and profitable delivery.
  • Oversee preconstruction, estimating, and proposal preparation processes.
  • Drive strategic pursuits through effective positioning, contract negotiations, and closing.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business development, marketing, and executive leadership on pursuit strategies.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams within the mission critical business unit.
  • Monitor competitor landscape to refine winning strategies and mitigate risks.
  • Act as a client advocate, ensuring clear communication between stakeholders and operations teams.
  • Contribute to talent acquisition and leadership development to support long-term growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field .
  • 15+ years of construction experience , including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role managing Mission Critical/Data Center projects .
  • Proven track record in operations leadership, client development, and large-scale project delivery.
  • Strong ability to develop people, build relationships, and execute strategies for growth.
