Job Description

Tatco Construction, a leader in the commercial construction industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Superintendent to join our growing team. As a Travel Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction projects across various geographical locations. You will be a key member of our project management team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What you will do:

  • Provide direct leadership and supervision to field crews, subcontractors, and vendors on assigned projects.
  • Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and ensure adherence to project deadlines.
  • Manage project budgets and track costs to identify and address potential deviations.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality control and safety compliance on project sites.
  • Conduct regular inspections and identify and address any safety hazards or quality issues promptly.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and productivity.
  • Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on project progress, safety, and financials.
  • Travel extensively to project sites throughout the assigned region.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in commercial construction.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (e.g., Procore).
  • Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 w/ weekly per diem (up to $1,200/week).
