Business Analyst / Project Manager (Contract – 12 months)

Location: Remote with occasional onsite (~1 day/month and as needed)

Overview

CMK Resources is looking for a Business Analyst / Project Manager to support our partner’s Business Process Operations (BPO) team. This hybrid role bridges business needs with technical solutions, manages project delivery, and drives process improvements through automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing both BA and PM hats while partnering with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analyst:

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements
• Map processes and translate business needs into technical requirements
• Interface with developers and technical teams to support solution design

Project Manager:

• Lead automation projects (2–4 months in duration) of varying complexity
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure successful project delivery

Business Knowledge:

• Required: Accounting background, particularly in Accounts Payable (A/P)
• Preferred: Exposure to Accounts Receivable (A/R)

Systems Analyst Skills:

• Understand underlying technologies (automation, AI, data flows) well enough to troubleshoot and guide solutions
• Investigate user issues, identify system behaviors, and facilitate resolution
• Translate user requests into desired business outcomes and define the supporting technical requirements
• Utilize tools such as Miro, SharePoint, UiPath, and other automation platforms

Must-Haves

• Strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting automation and data flow issues
• Hands-on experience with A/P and accounting processes
• Proven ability to function as both a Business Analyst and Project Manager
