Helix Electric is currently hiring an Electrical BIM/CAD Detailer with 3-5 years of experience in Multi-Family, Hospitality, Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional projects to join our team in Las Vegas, NV!
Our Electrical BIM Detailer is responsible for the BIM design of power systems and/or building systems and systems infrastructures. Within this role, BIM Detailers have a documented career path leading to project management, preconstruction, cost engineering, design engineering, and quality control roles.
The BIM/CAD Detailer position’s focus is to provide design support for computer-aid design projects including floor plan development and cleanup of existing floor plan updates. Applicants should have experience working in collaborative environments and be able to effectively communicate teammates to ensure they receive the electronic floor plan in a format that they can work with. The detailer must Optimize CAD design best-practices while incorporating trends using Revit.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:
· BIM modeling of electrical systems
· Work with project teams to draft accurate and cost-effective electrical design plans. Communicate with project management and the design team to create high quality drawings that meet project milestones and deliverables.
· Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines by BIM coordination meeting attendance.
· Adhere to BEP (BIM Execution Plan) and BIM project workflow criteria
· Follow BIM content standards and development procedures
· Prepare electrical model content for BIM coordination meetings
· Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication skills
· Leverage BIM/CAD software and tools as a methodology to coordinate between disciplines
· Understand single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
· Work with the Superintendents and Field personnel to understand installation means and methods.
· Provide top service to our clients with consistent and concise communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 2-5 years of electrical BIM experience.
· Knowledge of Autodesk production software (AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks, APL, BIM 360).
· A thorough person who strives to produce quality drawings and has general electrical knowledge, including the understanding of NEC.
· Dedication to learning, expanding knowledge, and continuous improvement.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Superior organizational and prioritization skills.
· Problem-solving, acceptance of responsibility, and work ethic.
· Motivation to complete tasks on time and on budget.
· Must successfully pass a background/drug screen.
